Many thanks to every single punter that bought a ticket and came to our 4th Birthday Event @ SeOne last Saturday

Please see below comments and reactions to your points regarding the event:-

Heat:- After last years event, Wildchild and the venue invested somewhere in the region of £700.00 to bring in additional industrial fans to the venue to keep air circulation better then before and improve the clubbers night, its clear that we still need to action further to make it a cooler place to dance and enjoy.

The event in terms of demand, hype and ticket sales was an overwhelming success and busy clubs unfortunately will always be hot, we will acontinue to do everything we can to provide comfort for clubbers.

Ticket price:- £23.00 ticket price was the final instalment of our final tier of ticket prices. We like many others successful promotions, give our audience and buying public the opportunity to buy cheaper, lower priced tickets.

Earlybird tickets were £15.00, standard price tickets we’re £19.00

Wildchild did NOT at any time charge £45.00 for a ticket. Touts often get hold of tickets via various outlets and decide to charge very high prices when events sell out, this happens at any successful event, rave, concert or football game and cannot be stopped by Wildchild unfortunately.

Sound:- Wildchild worked tirelessly alongside the venue and the venue’s chosen sound company to get the best set ups available for this event.

Capacity:- We originally planned to do a 4,000 capacity event @ SeOne. Later down the promotion, we were told that we could no longer use the extra capacity planned and the event was reduced to a reduced capacity.

Neither the promotion or the club would allow the event to run over capacity due to safety concerns and controls put in place by local council regulations

Marco V:- Please see below comment and official statement from Marco V’s UK Agent, as you will see, Marco was officially confirmed for the event and we were let down very last minute, myself and WiLDCHiLD do not take lightly to DJ cancellations and pride ourselves on putting the very best line-ups we possibly can:-

“Due to complications out of our control with another booking at Sensation in Poland, DJ Marco V will was not able to attend the Wildchild Party in London on October 28th for which he was originally booked to play a 2 hour set at.

A private jet was scheduled to take Marco V to play at both parties and due to a miscalculation we discovered that it was not going to be possible for him to make both events, this was an error on behalf of the jet company.

Marco would like to apologise to any clubbers who travelled to see him play and as his manager we are currently speaking with Wildchild Events to plan a replacement date in 2007.”

Mark EG:- As you will see from the comment listed on Harderfaster by Mark himself, he was unable to play WiLDCHiLD due to a severe back injury, please see his below comments:-

“From harderfaster:- I just wanna say how sorry I am for not being able to play on Saturday. I know you all paid good money and I really hate the fact that I let some of you down. I can assure you it was nothing to do with Wildchild.

Unfortunately on Monday my back went. I mean it wasnt like I was doing anything major - just getting changed to get up. I felt a twindge - it's happened a few times before in my life and you think 'Oh dear, here we go again'. And sure enough, it was downhill from there.

I went to see a Chiropractor on Wednesday as I was in major pain. You really should have seen me trying to walk through the city streets to get there. What a nightmare! Anyway the Chiropractor laughed when I said I still wanted to do my gigs at the weekend. Like I say this has happened a few times before and usually it's about 5 days before it gets to the point where I can at least get in a car, so I still had it in my head I would be able to do it. This time has been alot worse and when Saturday came it was impossible. I had no option. I also had to cancel West Fest - one of my favourite events. Nightmare.

It's now Monday and I'm a little better. Don't know how many of you have had back pain before but it's a killer. You really can't do anything. Anyway, I'm now having regular trips to the Chiro, and I'm changing my lifestyle. This can't happen again. No more sitting at the computer for 12 hours solid! And I've enrolled into the gym too which is totally not like me! Not sure when I'll be able to start going but it's about time I started looking after myself I think.

So look, many many apologies to everyone. Just thought I'd better come on here and explain the situation. None of us are getting any younger eh...

Paying guestlist:- Every person that asked me for paying guestlist, had the same response, “paying guestlist does not guarantee entrance into the event, buying a ticket does guarantee entrance.

WiLDCHiLD can put your name down on the paying guestlist but if we sell out before you get there, we cant let you in unfortunately as we have to give correct priority to ticket holders who pay their hard earned cash upfront for the event.”

Lanyards / Set times:- WiLDCHiLD sell lanyard set times at all of their major big events, SeOne being 1 of them.

Poster set times were up in the toilets but were taken down by clubbers as has happened previously at our events.

If a DJ does not come to the event on time and misses their set as happened with a few DJs on Saturday night, it makes it very difficult for WiLDCHiLD to try and fit the DJ in. WiLDCHiLD cannot be held responsible for DJs not allowing enough time to get into a sell out venue.

Therefore this can make the previously planned set times incorrect

Toilet attendants:- The toilet attendants are employed by SeOne the club and NOT by WiLDCHiLD. For future events please let me know your stance on these employees on whether you feel we should draft in our own polite friendly staff.

Dear All

Further to Reece’s comments, I would also like to say a massive massive massive thanks to all those people who came to the event.

We at Wildchild have always endeavoured to put on events that give you a big variety of DJ’s at great venues. On this particular occasion it was these two things that seem to have caused people the most problems.

Due to the amount of DJ’s playing at the event, the set times do cause a bit of a problem. From other gig commitments, to arriving at the club late, it all means that things get delayed, times are swapped and DJ’s don’t show. All things that although are out of our control, we are very sorry for.

SeOne is a great venue in my opinion. I know some people don’t agree, and that is undoubtedly your choice, but I have to admit that the look, the feel and atmosphere in the venue when it is going off, is one of the best… again in my opinion, and I’m sorry if people don’t agree. Yes, the heat is an issue, which is why we installed fans, however we realise now that there was not enough.

Also regarding the venue, I cannot stress enough that even though we did initially plan to increase the size of the venue to accommodate 4000, this did not happen, so therefore we did not allow 4000 people to enter the club, end of.

I would also like to stress how upset I am that all the blame has been shifted individually to Reece. We all work as a team at Wildchild, and it is not fair to blame one person and to use him as a hate figure. Reece is one of the hardest working people I know, and he would never do anything to intentionally harm, deny, upset or hurt the Wildchild faithful.

I am very sorry that we seem to have upset so many of you and would like to stress that we take massive pride and care in the running of our events. We love Wildchild, we love our punters and we love putting on events.

Uren eerder op Schiphol voor controle

SCHIPHOL - Luchtreizigers moeten vanaf maandag nog eerder op Schiphol zijn dan nu gebruikelijk is. Voor Europese vluchten dienen ze zich twee uur voor vertrek bij de ticketbalie te melden, voor intercontinentale reizen drie uur.

Dat is het gevolg van de strengere veiligheidsregels voor handbagage, die vanaf maandag in heel Europa gelden. Dan mogen vloeistoffen alleen nog in de cabine in flesjes van maximaal honderd milliliter en in doorzichtige plastic zakjes.

Zowel Schiphol als de KLM verwacht problemen bij de controle. ''We zullen streng moeten zijn en geen uitzonderingen toestaan,'' aldus Schiphol-topman Gerlach Cerfontaine. ''Vinden we een flesje van 125 milliliter, dan gaat dat in de container, dan gooien wij het weg.''

Ook een verkeerde maat zakje wordt inclusief inhoud weggegooid. ''We willen geen discussies waardoor de veiligheidscontroles langer gaan duren.'' Alleen voorgeschreven medicijnen en babyvoeding mogen gewoon mee.

De eerste vijf miljoen zakjes worden door Schiphol uitgedeeld, daarna moet de reiziger er zelf voor zorgen. De zakjes zijn niet in winkels verkrijgbaar. Kleine flesjes blijken nauwelijks voorhanden.

Om de nieuwe maatregelen te controleren neemt Schiphol de komende maanden zeshonderd man extra personeel aan. De KLM heeft honderd extra mensen tijdelijk aangenomen. Daarnaast zijn het vaste veiligheidspersoneel en alle medewerkers van de ticketbalie op training gestuurd. ''We verwachten absoluut boze reizigers.''

De nieuwe bagageregels kosten Schiphol en de luchtvaartmaatschappijen enkele miljoenen euro's. Ze zullen de kosten verhalen op de passagiers.

Overigens zullen niet alle taxfree inkopen op Schiphol pas bij de gate worden afgeleverd, zoals gisteren gemeld. Dat geldt alleen voor vluchten naar de VS en Canada.

Response from seOne London regarding issues raised in clubbing discussion forums.

seOne regularly monitor all discussions on web forums on all major sites, regarding events at seOne. All suggestions and comments made are listened to.



Capacity :

seOne London has a licenced capacity of 3000. The venue never exceeds its licensed capacity. The Wildchild event’s flyer stated a 4000 capacity, this was done without our consent.

But when Wildchild started discussions with us regarding this event, seOne was considering expanding the size of the venue – unfortunately this did not happen.



Heat :

seOne complies with all of the Council / Police / Fire / Health and Safety regulations.
seOne has an air movement system that complies with all the regulations of the venues license.
At the event a no. of additional Fans were brought in by the venue and Wildchild. It has been noted that these were not sufficient and for future events where necessary the venue will strive to work with promoters to provide additional cooling.



Toilets:

Toilet attendants are employed by the club for one major reason; having the presence of a Toilet Attendant has reduced vandalism of the toilets. Some promotions ask us not to have them, unfortunately we do NOT allow this because on occasions when we have gone without them, customers at the venue at all nature of events have broken toilet bowls, ripped pipes of the walls and created flooding of the toilet blocks, etc.
Unfortunately a very small percentage of people can take actions that effect everyone.

On the note of the toilet attendants raised on some sites, we take these claims very seriously and the management does not condone this. We will be investigating the situation and attempting to ensure this does not happen.

Before the club opens all toilets are fully stocked with toilet paper.
And please remember that all customers are under NO OBLIGATION to tip the toilet attendants.

seOne features 3 Toilet Blocks – 37 females cubicles / 10 male cubicles and 10 metres of urinals.



Recent New Manager Rumours:

This is completely false Information. I myself the production manager started here when the club, changed Owners, some 4 years ago. Our current general manager has been here for 3 years now.



Additional Points:

Some people on various threads have mentioned that a death occurred at the club. I would like to make it perfectly clear this happened under previous owners of the venue when the venue was known as the Drome.

The Drome was NOT a licensed venue. The venue at that time had no ventilation system in place, and it is estimated that up to 5000, clubbers were in the venue at any one time.

seOne would again like to stress, we work very closely with the council, health and safety, fire safety and the Police.

Our customers are of the highest importance to seOne and any points raised about the club, will be listened to.
