The Street Parade 2006 takes place on 12 august 2006
The date of next years Street Parade has been officially confirmed! The world’s largest and most exciting electronic music-parade will take place on Saturday, 12 August 2006. Another record will be broken marking the 15th consecutive year of its presence in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city. The Street Parade will retain its position as the largest global open-air party in the world.
Love Mobile Applications Now Open
Those wishing to apply for presence through a Love Mobile during SP 2006 may now register and submit a request, Applicants should be involved in the electronic and/or dance music scene. A jury will be overseeing the selection process - 30 love mobile spaces are available for the parade. Date
The 14th Street Parade is to be held on saturday, 12 of august 2006, kicking off at 3.00 pm and ending at 10.00 pm. About 100 mega- and smaller-scale parties will be held in and around Zürich over the Parade weekend, from friday evening right through to the early hours of monday morning.
Warm-ups
The Street Parade warm-up parties will kick off at 1:00pm and the following locations: Start-Area (Utoquai), Opernhaus, Bellevue, Limmatquai, Bürkliplatz, Kongresshaus VIBIC, Rentenanstalt (Underground), Enge (Lake-Floor).
Route
The 2.4 km–long Street Parade route will be the same as in the previous year. The Street Parade will begin at 3.15 pm at Utoquai in the Zürich neighbourhood of Seefeld, from where it will head around the lakefront via Bellevue, Quaibrücke and Bürkliplatz, arriving at Hafendamm Enge at around 10 pm. The fun will continue at the after-parties at Opernhaus, Bellevue, Bürkliplatz, Rentenanstalt and Limmatquai until midnight. The entire Street Parade route can be easily reached on foot from the city centre or the central station.
