anyone see this ridiculous movie? it was supposed to be taking place in bratislava, but they filmed it in cesky krumlov, czech republic. not only is it humiliating to slovaks, but the americans in it were so naive and obnoxious... ugh. why perpetuate stereotypes? it would have been more entertaining if they had been smart and still fallen into the trap.

ok, nice faces...

is there a problem with me defending slovaks or something?

maybe i am just being too critical of it. most people probably won't pay so much attention to the character's personality or the setting. i respect the director since i thought he did a good job with cabin fever, but i think he could have done a better job with hostel.

I aggree the film was shit but I thought the Americans were the only realistic thing in the whole movie I thought Cabin fever was one of the worst movies I have ever seen only beaten by Godzilla the Hollywwod version

yea, it's really embarrasing most american tourists are like that. i wish they could have made that part a little more unrealistic.

I thought Cabin fever was one of the worst movies I have ever seen

true it was cheesy, but it was supposed to be. the bloody fingering scene was classic.

Maybe those are just the american tourists that everyone notices. No one pays attention to those of us who are actually polite and considerate.

yeah we Brits have that problem also everyone thinks we are on an 18-30 holiday

i've never seen a movie about brits on a holiday though

euro tv is covered in programs reminding everyone of our worst traits

I wouldnt worry about it pop culture and movies thrive on stereotypes
