There are differences, too, between urban/suburban American women and rural American women. I grew up in a small town, where we learned that having the latest things isn't always the best way to go. We learned to live by what was "good enough". It wasn't until I moved up here that I found out how (supposedly) inferior the things I have are, because I make my own clothes or buy them on discount or do without. It might be a reason why I think I'm better suited to the netherlands than to the US. (I'm sure it will still be a culture shock, though....)
I can Understand that, but thats hardly something to frown upon, i mean think about it, you have skills that other woman will never have especially Urban girls, no offence to them or anything but they are lazy wanting woman, I grew up in a small town too, even though i was born in the city, i grew up with a diffrent set of values entirly and when i moved back to the city i realized that i had it off better then them, from my point of view at least dont be hard on yourself, Im sure there are lots of great american girls, but just like everywhere else you have to seed threw all the bad ones to get a nice good one for yourself
