I agree. Well I have got head pfff thats easy here in Holland..But they are just not good in it I think. I think there should be a book in Holland in 2 languages Dutch and Vries and well explain how the art works.
Also they should be more creative. Thats an other thing that men I know and myself complain about. They don`t use their imagination too much.

I'll agree with that...although not every American woman is whiny, needy and materialistic. Dutch women are more direct than non-Dutch women, definitely. And Dutch women don't seem to put up with as much from a Dutch man who's behaving badly.
Ill agree as well, alot of american woman i have met via in clubs or travle or online come off as very materialistic, quite sad actully

That's because we like to keep mutual obligations to a minimum... a girl who lets somebody else pay for her all of the time is quickly regarded as being after the other person's money
I think it's better if whomever initiates the date pays the bill. Men here will usually pay the bill for the first few dates as a matter of pride/culture, but, after that, it should depend on who's inviting whom. I've paid for more than my share of dates, simply because I didn't want to stay at home alone.
(There's a lot to be said for staying home, though...)

"let's go out!" "but I don't have much money right now" "oh, no problem" (= the initiatior pays, but the invitee REALLY should mention beforehand if he/she wants to come AND doesn't have a lot of money... it's rarely a problem if that's the case, just don't forget to mention it
