why do we have an English only topic?

like we have people here who only speak English on partyflock.. so we have an English topic for the people who want to speak English to each other, because they like the language?

I haven't seen any American or English man here on partyflock, who has?
From what rock were you?

who has???
Well, I happen to be Australian :$

I can say im English I live was born and rasied here in canada, I know enough dutch to get by (where is the washroom and ill have a beer)

i think it's great there is an english forum. i can finally understand y'all. lol ;) (though i should learn more dutch)
Exactly I think it's great, many Clubbing websites are now introducing forums for many different countries to interact.

and we have SingleMom who is really really really from Chicago and we have also many members from Switzerland and Italy (etc etc)

Right now, Partyflock has around 700 members who are either Dutch and live outside of Holland or can't speak Dutch and live about anywhere... they're not all here yet because they still have to find out there's something new for them (and their partying friends!) to do on Partyflock :) and the rest of us... well, I guess we just like to talk English ;)

"Partyflock is for everybody"... now even more then ever!

It's great to have an English-only section :jaja:

Not just because English is a language that some people understand that would like to be a more active meber on this community, but it's a way for a lot of people to learn more about how to express theirselves (Y)

English is a language that's far more advanced than Dutch, and more people should try to use it nowadays :jaja:

and not just people even!

I think this is great too  and especially because Partyflock is doing it as well... I just never realised that so many people outside The Netherlands were also interested in Partyflock, that's why I wondered myself why we have an English topic... (my question is answered now though)

I guess we just like to talk English ;)

as do I... English is my mother language, both my parents live here in The Netherlands, they were born here and raised here, but they decided to teach me English first before Dutch.. Until my second or third year of life, they taught me English.. We have alot of family in Australia and Canada and when I was eight years old, we were supposed to emigrate to Canada, but at the time my parents got divorced.. So we stayed here in Holland.. :(

I definitely agree with you that English is a nice language to speak :P and I'm glad that we have an English only topic.. I'm certainly not complaining about this..

I certainly don't agree with you:no:.. English is used by more people over the world, but it's definitely not more advanced.. have you ever realised how hard it is to learn Dutch and all the grammar of it if you're not Dutch and you don't know Dutch... the grammar of Dutch is far more complicated than the English grammar.. English grammar is not so much, but Dutch grammar is like a maze where you get lost a thousand times(sorry if I'm over-exagerrating:P).. I still have trouble with alot of Dutch grammar, while I'm raised here and speak it every day...:P I also see it around me, people who try to learn English, will succeed quite quickly most of the time, also with all the grammar.. But people who try to learn Dutch take approximately a couple years of study before they finally master the Dutch language and then they still have alot of grammar problems and flaws they make... for you English might seem more advanced, but for others Dutch might seem more advanced..

True. English *was* a pretty advanced language, up to the time when everybody who was somebody was supposed to speak French. This made English the language of the "common folk" and it, well, degenerated a bit until English became the official language again.

It *is* a nice language to express oneself, though ;)
