From accuracy international England. this is the new 50bmg from AI it is being evaluated at this moment by several military units and governments worldwide, if its as accurate as the rest of AI rifles this will be without doubt on top of the list in the light fifty league.
Above The final product.
After two years of trials resulting in various refinements mostly to reduce weight, the AW50 sniper rifle is in it's final configuration.
The AW50F weighs just 13.64 Kg (30 lbs). The AW50FT weighs under 12.73 Kg (28 lbs) using titanium in place of certain steel parts, where the soldiers carry-weight is an absolute minimum.
Despite the light weight, recoil is quite manageable through the use of a soft butt pad and cheekpiece, built in anti recoil system and a very efficient muzzle brake.
As with all the Accuracy International 'tactical' rifle products, great attention to detail has been paid to ensure the highest possible precision and the ergonomics to allow the firer to achieve it, together with a robust, all weather functioning system that has fully interchangeable parts.
The fact that the AW50 has a folding stock increases its compactness and ease of carriage.
