Answers about Bpm / What's the EXTRATON ? (EN)
Here it is my explanation of the word « EXTRATON « :
You know the BPM speed of Hardcore 150-250 and of Speedcore 250+
With several BPM counters programmers (drumming) I obtained different maxi electronic kick calculation. The kick in a counter is the movement (boom, boom, boom) of the bassdrum measured by the metronome when it goes out of the high pitched to come in the baffle (see your Synthesizer and Sound System explanations).
Maxi Calculations :
RED Son : 180(195.3 maxi display) * 6 =
Gemini/BST : 600 bpm
Pioneer : 160 * 6 = 960 bpm
Yamaha groove box computer : 300 (can be multiplicable by 6)
Midi Orchestrator PC : 200 (can be multiplicable by 4)
After several years (since 1988) running to the BPM and listening speed bassdrum, I made two conclusion :
- the CONTINUOUS SOUND : viewed on the Electronical Oscillograph and highlighted by the Stroboscope, has been measured beginning at 540 Bpm (9 BPS) finishing at 780 bpm (13 BPS). Continuous = kick/2kicks/kick/3kicks/kick…
- after this continuous sound there is most fast and fast again, the name of this « music » is EXTRA-DIMENSIONAL (EXTRATON). I explain this concept of time/speed :
1 minute = 60 second ; 1 BPM = 0.01667 BPS (base 600)
The multiplicator is the square number, so 1 second can hold 60 beats maxium (60 times 1 second) / 60 *60 = 3600 BPM, the progressive calcul is a concept of multiplication by 2 (or 1.5 to 6) = 450/900/1800/3600 and others original multiplicators + various of PITCH + various of turntable ROUND PER MINUTE. (rpm). Look to my calculation in the USN guest book.
In one second of time, you have an intermittence of the kick (boom/…/boom/….), and when you increase the speed , the first kick is over the second etc…., in the Extradimensional sound, the speed is EXITED of the oscillograph line (see on the electronic oscilligraph of an ACOUSTICIAN ENGINEER).
I know I will need to schematize with electronic and mathematics plans to be clear… I think I will write a book about the BPM)

If you try to have more beats per second, the first kick will go over the second kick and so on. You'll get an Extradimensional sound, the word for extradimensional = EXTRATON, so did Extratone got it's name.

it was something about the artwork with the sg logo which looked like a nazi ss logo. this wasn't meant to be looked like that and after some comments the artwork has been changed since knox doesn't want to have anything to do with nazi shit.
