Biografie
·Da Virus, aka David Prins, started listening to House music in 1993 and was immediately hooked on this new electronic sound. During his childhood, he was already "infected" with a love for vinyl, influenced by his father's passion for playing records.
As a young teenager, he got his first record player and the singles from his parents' younger years, playing them as much as he could. At the beginning of 1995, after buying his first box of Hardcore records, he purchased a second record player and a mixer. From that moment on, all his free time was spent teaching himself how to beat-match and mix the records.
Not long after, he began spinning at the local youth centre, realizing how much he enjoyed performing and spreading "da House Virus" through his music. In the years that followed, he performed at several clubs and also organized illegal raves with friends.
After the year 2000, he got the chance to showcase his skills to larger crowds at bigger parties such as Summerdance Festival and Intoxicated. Even notorious raves like Hardshock, Megarave, and Hellraiser were "infected" by Da Virus.
His greatest achievement, without any doubt, was the Back2Back gig he performed with one of the biggest Hardcore legends, DJ Ruffneck, at Decade in 2018.
Da Virus is a Resident DJ at LG-Events, Hardcore Fighters, and Arina Events. In addition, he is a proud member of the famous Gabberhead DJ Team.
Nowadays, he remains a vinyl addict and still loves to mix vinyl on stage, known for his enthusiastic performances behind the decks that showcase his pure passion for the music.
