Suyano

Sjoerd IJpelaar, better known as Suyano, grew up in Breda where other heavyweights like Tiesto, Hardwell and R3hab also have their origin. At the age of 8, this promising new kid on the block started playing drums. And now, at 22, this musical education is one of the many things that makes him stand out as a DJ. Why? Because his DJ-sets go further than turntables and a mixer. On request, Suyano uses a drumpad during his gigs making it more than just a DJ-set. He makes it a live performance. A live performance that is as energetic and thrilling like watching a real drummer pouring his heart out on a drum kit. Suyano's sets are full of energy and have a unique style. House music that is progressive, fresh and accessible with a flow that will get you hooked. Instantly. That is why he also played next to a impressive line-up of DJ's such as Hardwell, Quintino, Nicky Romero, Chuckie, Firebeatz, Baggi, Bassjackers, Lucien Foort, Laidback Luke, Shermanology, Billy The Kit and Gregori Klosman.

As a producer, Suyano started to develop his own style at the age of 17. Laying out the groundwork for later hits such as Airplay and Pippa, both tracks were 'Demo Of The Week' during Hardwell On Air, and Airplay was played in Klosmania, Gregori Klosman's radioshow and in the podcast from Max Vangeli and Congorock. Pippa entered the dance tunes top 100 and even reached the top 10, got supported by Steve Aoki, Dj Jean and many more. Some real hits! The elements of his tracks are as progressive as his DJ-sets; Electro and House. With these unique features Suyano appeared on the so called NOPEISDOPE radar in 2011 and hasn't left us since. In 2012 Suyano signed to NID Bookings, and directly mixed the new NopeisDope Volume 13 CD together with Ralvero.

Suyano's highlight thusfar was spinning on the Dancetour in Breda for 20.000 visitors alongside Laidback Luke, Hardwell, Shermanology and Chuckie and last summer he even travelled through Europe for a summer tour. With some huge gigs and a new sponsor contract with Fittz 2013 will be his year. With his welcoming to the NOPEISDOPE family we can assure you that Suyano's star will keep on rising. Through his productions, remixes and gigs in and out of Holland. This multitalented DJ will live up the expectations.
