Under the name Menja Mist, she merges diverse genres to create a contemporary musical platform unrestricted by any single style. Her fascination with music began at an early age and grew stronger through her extensive travels and exposure to different cultures worldwide. With a background in classical flute, a solid understanding of jazz, and an appreciation for the boundless emotional possibilities in music, she began DJing over a decade ago—favoring the driving rhythms and bass lines found in Deep House, Tech House, and Techno Minimal. Her sets invite audiences onto a groovy, dance-focused journey.

Born in Sweden and influenced by the "Nordic sound," her musical roots run deep. Yet early encounters with various cultures have shaped a broad and eclectic musical backdrop. The name Menja Mist itself draws from Nordic mythology, weaving together two female figures: Mist, a valkyrie and servant of Odin—whose name evokes cloud, vapor, and the valkyries' ethereal passage—and Menja, one of the giantesses who operated King Frode's magical mill, Grotte, producing anything sung by its grinders. Legend holds that when forced to sing only of gold and power, Menja and her sister Fenja instead sang of armies that would destroy the king.
