Biografie

From the late 80's onwards, alongside his good friend Shinichiro Yokota, Soichi Terada and Far East Recordings have specialised in Eastern impressions of Western deep house and electronica. Soichi Terada at some point without realizing it. He was the composer of the soundtrack to the Ape Escape games in the 90's.

Terada's take on US house and garage gained love from New York greats like Larry Levan and Mark Kamins, with both remixing "Sun Shower," a track he produced in 1989 for the Japanese singer Nami Shimada. Terada's lush smooth sound has a weirdly bouncing funk and, more importantly, a charming humor to its melody and arrangement.

Fast-forward to 2014, Hunee from Rush Hour compiled his past material on Sounds From The Far East. This newfound interest has sparked a renaissance for Soichi, with the coming together of an exciting new show where he recreates tracks from his recent compilation and others made in the late 80's and 90's.
