Biografie
The Fanatics story is a journey that in began as a friendship and a love of music that spans over the last decade. It has been a wild ride of sleep deprivation, travel, partying, countless hours finding their sound in the studio and reaching the biggest goals they set out to achieve!.
In 2007 Joe & Alex met at an underground Hardstyle party in Sydney, their friendship flourished and so did their individual careers performing at Sydney raves and club events.
Fast forward to 2013, after some years performing and producing music together under solo artist alias' they joined forces and created the name Fanatics, the name that defined their unparalleled energy for the music and for performing for the crowds of dedicated ravers.
Since they started producing music, aspiring to be signed to such a renowned record label like Dirty Workz was something that was only in their minds. It would take them until 2016 to reach that goal, in an ever-changing landscape of Hardstyle music, becoming the first Australian based artists to fly the Dirty Workz flag way down in the southern hemisphere, far separated from the experience and the figure heads of the genre, an honour that can never be surpassed.
In March 2016 they released their debut single '#RFG (Real F#cking Gangsters)' on Dirty Workz Anarchy, shortly followed by 'Bring Tha Flow' and 'Whatup!' at the end of 2016. They also had the honour of remixing the classic 'Monstah' for none other than Coone, hero, friend and founder of Dirty Workz. The track premiered during Coone's set at Qlimax 2016 and was a moment of profound happiness and fulfilment. Coone then invited them to join him on stage at Knockout Circus in their home city of Sydney in front of 18,000 Aussies to drop 'Monstah' for the home crowd, something they will cherish as one of the greatest moments in the Fanatics story.
Looking back on some other prominent moments in the rise of this dynamic duo, it's plain to see that they have certainly achieved a great deal within a relatively short space of time.
Having built a huge fan base in Australia by playing regularly at all of the major Hardstyle club events and holding a residency at Australia's biggest weekly Hardstyle club Masif Saturdays, fans have become familiar with their trademark sound and energetic on stage presence. Leading on from this was a call to represent the Raw side of Hardstyle on the Blue stage at Defqon 1 Australia in 2013, a place they have really savoured, having been able to showcase their talent on the Blue stage for a number of years now.
Travelling abroad to Defqon 1 Festival in the Netherlands to perform on the UV stage was an experience they will never forget, standing on stage in the spiritual home of Hardstyle, looking out on the packed crowd of thousands of Hardstyle lovers from all over the world, there to experience this amazing event and enjoy the music that they had created.
Fanatics returned to Defqon 1 in the Netherlands in 2014 to perform on the Blue stage with long-time friend and musical inspiration, Hard Driver, making for a very special defqon experience and the following years would see Fanatics on the lineup of many more well-known European festivals with bookings at Sunrise and The Qontinent in Belgium, 'Dirty Workz Take Over' at Nature One in Germany and the ill fated C.R.A.F.T festival of 2015.
So as Fanatics gaze into the future they forever strive to be the best at what they do, by creating memorable moments in music. The present is the time to deliver the Fanatics sound to the world and express their passion in audible waves through the air.
The Real Fanatics are out there, and it's time to join the next phase of the adventure!
