Biografie
DcReal67 is a Hiphoppa since the early eighties when he got exposed to b-boying and graffiti. 'The Message' by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five really moved him. From than on he was mostly interested in the musical aspects of the HipHop Kulture known as MC'ing, DJ'ing and beatboxing.
The Delft resident specialized himself in DJ'ing/turntablizm. Open mic sessions, MC battles, graffiti jams, b-boy battles or just spinning 'freestyle' are really his thing. He is famous for his great recordselections and will never renounces his style and musical taste just to please a certain audience so he literaly stands behind the beats he's playing.
Besides perfecting his (quick-) mix skills and scratches he also started making beats. From 1987 to 1993 he was producing and DJ'ing for his own group 'Basically Hard & Straight (BHS)' with MC Roxi D and later on also Cool Force D on the production tip. Roxi D actually taught DcReal67 how to cut up and mix records.
Nowadays he is still rockin' a party here and there but also runs his own indie recordlabel: 'Rhythmic Combat Records'. In 2011 he released a 12" with oldskool colleague and like-mind Kay LC called 'Upset With Da Threat b/w Love Bandit'. This piece of vinyl is already a collectors item. In 2013 they've dropped the full length album 'Ups N Downs'. DcReal67: "My goal is to cause some sort of revival of the true HipHop Kulture through Rhythmic Combat Records. This record is one of my instruments but there is more to come."
