Biografie
·Awesta Darhwesh (also known as Awiwa) is a DJ/producer of electronic music, living in Rotterdam. While spending the biggest part of his life in the Netherlands, Awiwa was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. He and his family moved to the Netherlands in 1998 and this is where his educational path started.
Awiwa's great passion for both producing and DJ-ing, started after discovering the nightlife and the parties it brought. Educated as an audio/visual-technician had a great influence on his musical career. Here Awiwa learned the proper techniques for handling the software he now uses to create his tunes. Collaborating with his fellow students and doing a lot of self-study, he learned how to use Ableton-software to create his own live-sets.
Besides producing, Awiwa is also a performing DJ. His sets contain a varied mix of genres such as Minimal, Techno, Tech-House and the rare House track. Inspired by artists such as Chris Liebing, K!NK and Gaiser, Awiwa adds live-elements using Native Instruments Maschine. By using these tools he aims to give his sets an extra dimension and create an elevated experience for his listeners. Inspired by DJ's like Joran van der Pol, Dubfire, Secret Cinema, Boris Ross – Awiwa enjoys the freedom of producing his music, striving to leave his mark on the electronic scene.
