Loopalicious

Changing the world, one beat at a time…

First of all, I'd like to thank yall for taking the time to read this short biography.

Loop grew up in a very musical environment, his father plays the guitar and ever since he was born he was surrounded by music. At the age 8 he took his fist musical lessons, in his case, the drums were his preferred instrument. At the age of 12 he started producing on a MS-Dos tracker, called stream tracker, and that's where it all started.

Later on when Loop got in touch with the vivid party life back in '95 when Mysteryland was one of the first big house parties he attended to, it was an event at Busloo (Netherlands), near his hometown. Almost every weekend… especially in summer, one can travel the country going from one outdoor festival to an even greater one from thursday till sunday, or even party non-stop, for those who wish.

So, in fact dance / house / was part of Loopalicious' culture, and it has resulted in the creation of his own taste and style.

So Loop started producing on a 8-bit tracker, called Scream Tracker (later called: Impulse Tracker). Creating beats, those days, consisted out of sampling cd's looking for separated sounds and recording them and than creating one's own ideas with it. Since there we're limited resources, being creative with samples was a must, however a true own sound was more difficult to create. The sound of that time seemed to be a little bit of a lot of different artist.

Nowadays Loopalicious still uses the sampling technique from the old days assisted by ¨Logic Studio¨ (his favorite DAW) and plugins like: Native Instruments Komplete, Sylenth, Alchemy & Nexus.
