Rick Klap (23), born in Leeuwarden, raised in a small town called Stiens, started spinning his first records as Klapband. Together with his neighbour, he organised small parties to test his skills as a DJ. Soon small parties became bigger ones and it was during this time they got their first show at Club Hemingway. It marks the kick-off for a lot of gigs, even warming up and sharing the stage with Slagsmålsklubben at Podium Asteriks. At fall 2012 Rick went solo and changed his DJ-name to his new alter ego 'Klapf'. He swiftly departed his former love for electro and adopted a warmer deephouse sound as he joined the Nokturné collective. But still, when the party is on, he might drop a fat electro track now and then. Klapf is never afraid to initiate some new experimental and sudden collaborations with pioneering musicians. Expect the unexpected when Klapf turns up at your party!
