C-Netik

Currently one of the best known names from the portuguese Drum & Bass scene due to much dedication and work, C-Netik got into the genre in the early 00s while discovering electronic music and other alternative styles. During those years, he also got started in production, building loops and experimenting in various genres. In his solo productions, C-Netik aims to use and reinvent tendencies from various genres - Techno, Ambient, Industrial, Hardcore, Hip-Hop - creating a fusion of styles which results in original sounds with hypnotic basslines.

In 2007 he became active in the Drum & Bass DJ circuit, becoming part of promoter and collective Yellow-Stripe. He is a veteran resident DJ for the Therapy Sessions hosted by YS in Portugal and features regularly in the heaviest events, next to headliners such as The Outside Agency, Counterstrike, Angerfist, Dylan, The DJ Producer, Limewax, The Panacea, Current Value, Noisia, Switch Technique, among many others. His sets span a large spectrum of the heaviest D&B and Hardcore fusions, as he seeks to strengthen his connection with crowds and transmit the best these genres have to offer.

In early 2011 C-Netik co-founded a project the YS crew had been working long for: Yellow Stripe Recordings, a label releasing some of the best Hard and Dark Drum & Bass worldwide, on Vinyl & Digital formats.He also manages artists and repertoire for the label, recruiting new talent and overseeing the label's output.

Recognized and awarded several times in the Portuguese D&B scene and with a bunch of sick releases under his belt, C-Netik has cemented his identity as an established staple of quality production and performances. As he begins to expand on an international level, aiming for more intensity and harder vibes, he is collaborating with international artists and labels, readying nasty new releases for 2013 and beyond.
