Chris Pinto

The ever cheerful Chris Pinto is a DJ and producer who was formed by different opposing cultural and musical backgrounds. Being born in the exotic city Barcelona in Venezuela he moved to the northern Dutch city of Groningen in 1990 as a 9-year old.
While having a passion for mixing records since he was just 13 years old Chris moved from hiphop to early hardstyle and hardcore around his 19th year. Around this same time he met a lot of underground techno producers who made him get comfortable with the dark industrial vibe and when Chris started producing music this dark kind of techno would continue to take a central place in his work.
After years of producing and playing dozens of gigs Chris developed an uncompromising distinctive sound which consisted of dark minimalistic techno with funky loops and kicks who still breath his hardcore roots.
His sets form a wide range of atmospheres and sounds from the tropical South American vibes to harsh Dutch industrial influences, but nevertheless they will always stay dancefloor-proof.
This combination gives him a unique 'best of both worlds' repertoire which is suitable for different occasions, but always maintains it's underground attitude!
