Always two steps ahead!
It seems there's nothing one of the EDM scene's hottest young stallions couldn't turn into gold right now. In just a couple of years since he won Pete Tong's competition with "Copacabana", Beltek's name regularly pops out on top of EDM music charts and labels such as Dim Mak, Ministry of Sound, Toolroom, Armada etc. His versatile production skills and fingerprint mass appealing sound already assured him remixing duties for major artists such as Faithless, Booka Shade, Gareth Emery and others.., Tiësto picked up "Kenta" for In Search Of Sunrise 7 compilation and supported Beltek in the 15 Minutes Of Fame slot of his Club Life radio show. Stand out productions such as "Par", "Kenta", "Eclipse", "Go" and "Party Voice!" are heavily played, rotated, charted and compiled by leading artists, radios and labels and his never ending touring schedule is taking him all over the world, from Mexico and Spain to Ultra Music Festival Miami, Amsterdam Dance Event or Ukraine's infamous Kazantip. On top of that Belteks "Party Voice" served as official track for Ultra Music Festival Miami remix competition in the early 2012.
Yes, you got it! Beltek is on fire right now and he's doing big steps on the global EDM scene, so watch out, as he'll definitely mark the 2013!
Although he's one of the hottest young artists on the scene and seriously considered the next big thing in the global EDM milieu by some of the leading opinion makers on the scene, Martin Beltek Bijeli isn't just another kid becoming international DJ based merely on heavy brand management and promotion. His success rests upon unique ability to turn everything he touches into gold, a decade of hard labor as well his string of chart topping artists releases and remixes championed by the deejays such as Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Dada Life, Thomas Gold, Mark Knight, Umek and many others. It's been only four years since his first international release and he became darling producer of leading EDM labels in a very short time.
Producer of the year
Beltek's career, built on his unique uplifting mass-appealing sound, really took off in the early 2008, after he entered Pete Tong's New Producer of the Year competition. He crawled under Big Pete's skin with a warm house track titled "Copacabana", and Chris Lake picked it up for Beltek's first international release on his Rising Trax label in the early 2008. Martin didn't sleep on laurels, he grabbed the opportunity by the horns and started releasing track after track on some of the most influential labels in the EDM industry (Black Hole's Avanti, Armada's Pilot 6 and Electronic Elements, the UK's Maelstrom Records & Canada's Nettwerk imprint) thus further building his reputation of one of the most original producer on the scene who rather does things his way than succumb to herd instincts.
Beltek's production became regular in the DJ-sets and radio shows of artists such as Tiësto, Erick Morillo, Laidback Luke, Axwell, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn and many others..
Party voice of Ultra Music Festival 2012
Beltek scored another major bump from one of the EDM scene's key players – this time from the USA. In early 2012 "Party Voice" served as official track for Ultra Music Festival Miami remix competition, which really exposed Beltek's name around the time of Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week. Consequently Beltek was also included in the UMF lineup as a DJ and the track was released trough Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label which exposed Beltek a one of the fastest rising new stars of the EDM scene. Although Beltek performed in the USA even before that, he became one of the most sought after young artists on the American market, so it's not a surprise he's spending more and more time touring clubs and festivals in the States.
Remixes: From Faithless to Booka Shade
Though he's mostly known by his artist productions and DJ-sets, that are bursting of intense energy, Beltek is also a very sought after remixer. He kicked off his remixing duties with Mike Melange ft. Alan Connor's "I Love The Sunshine" – a rework that was given a hard hammering by Tiësto throughout 2009. He has gone on to remap tracks like The Ruff Driverz & Arrola's classic "Dreaming", Morgan Page's "Fight For You", Charlie G & Vandall's "Machined" and Gareth Emery's "Full Tilt", but it was Faithless' "Tweak Your Nipple" that shot him further in the music industry and right now he's sweating over one of Booka Shade's forthcoming singles, which will include an original Beltek remix.
