Biografie
Spinning records for 62% of his human life, it is only fair to say that MaxM (Mark Janssen) is one of the house music fossils. When house started he was djing together with Funkda (Stefan Druif) Stefan decided to move into the music production and is now one of the people that keeps real house music alive, check his site www.godutchrecordings.com: www.godutchrecordings.com. Mark discovered the power and uplifting beats of the tech house scene. Influenced by DJ's like Laurent Garnier, Sven Vaith, John Digweed, Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg and last but not least Dave Seaman he kept playing nice tunes in several clubs throughout the Netherlands.
Together with Sascha Schikowski he formed the "Baldy Brothers" with residencies in "Thomas" "56Elf" and the "Rechter" they changed the musical landscape of Eindhoven.
After working his professional career Mark decided it was time to spend more time on his passion for danceable house music. While his old heroes are still going strong the new generation left a mark on his style and musical perception. Joris Voorn, Edwin Oosterwal, Rauwkost, Klankarbeit, Svaiy, Vekx shaped Mark's current style.
At this time MaxM can be followed via Soundcloud, (maybe a few years late but let's be honest the bugs are out) he will upload (or at least that is his intention) a mix every month to revitalize the old tradition of mix tapes. At the beginning TDK cassettes (60 and if you are lucky 90 minutes), than burning CD's and now using the digital medium. With the sole purpose of sharing his best tracks with his friends and all music loving people. Of course if you know people who would like to book MaxM to play at your club do not hesitate to contact him.
Also visit one of the "House is a feeling" parties at café FF in Roermond. Together with Svaiy&Vekx the music is danceable tech house and not to loud so you can pick up girls at the party
