Biografie
Jason Hering, a.k.a. Jay Matts, was born in 1981 and raised on the island of Curacao. At the age of 10, Jason and his family moved to the Netherlands where, besides just the Caribbean sounds, he came in touch with different music genres like hip hop, trance and house music.
At the age of 25 he started organizing different kind of house parties and after a year he decided to take place behind the decks. He loved playing deep and soulful house, but still he felt something was missing.
In a club at his hometown, he met Lop Athar, now his best friend, who told him that he produced electronic music at home with just a laptop. Jason, who had never heard of producing music with just a laptop, became curious, so Lop Athar thought him the basics.
Not long after he bought his own computer, his first release was born. It was only the beginning when his track "Noukie", was released on the Creme Fresh label. A few years later, his latest EP release "207 & Want U" (Big Flu Records) has been played en supported by well-known artists worldwide. In 2013 Jay Matts promises to step up the game by releasing a bunch of high quality Deep House tracks which will make you dance like you never did before!
