Andy Safado

Andy Safado is known for his funky, groovy, uplifting Eclectic Urban & House sound that will shake up the dance floor.

Being originated from Suriname, Andy grew up with a passion for a great variety of music.

It seemed like it started when his mother showed him how to put up a LP. He was barely 10 years old then. At the age of 12, it was the way DJ's made one beat flow into the other that got his attention. To him it sounded like more than just music.

At the age of 14 Andy and his parents moved to the Netherlands. Making new friends wasn't a difficult task and luck seemed to be on his side when he discovered that one of them was a professional DJ. Since then he supported his friend in many ways and was always part of the DJ crew when there was another party to shake. Impressed by his friend, other DJ's, the crowd, the beat and the sensation, 'it got him". He was convinced, DJ-ing was all he wanted to do!!

After graduating in 1995 he got the greatest gift ever: two turntables and a mixer!!

He learned the basics from his friend and the rest was just a matter of practice. Under the name 'DJ Crazy" he started delivering mixed tapes to several barbershops in Amsterdam. A new one every month. Becoming the DJ of the northern 'Dazzler Promotion" was next and he did his first professional performance at Club 2Night. 'His days" seemed to begin. Traveling from here to there, every weekend and every week. '97,'98, '99 and 2002 are years he won't forget as official DJ of Mega Dance with a crowd of ten thousand at least. Bands like Postmen, Replay, Romeo and Home Team completed this event held at Martinihal, Groningen.

In the year 2007 he got in touch with the Dutch Dance scène. He got overwhelmed with the sound, especially the deep, funky, soulful house sound. Nowadays he goes by the name of 'Andy Safado", a DJ with great passion for Eclectic & House music. Throughout the years Andy developed himself as a DJ and found out it was a great way to share his thought about music with others and entertain them at the same time.

Andy was the resident DJ of Funkadelic, I Am and Hufters, Classified & Club Prime. He has been playing beside a lot of big names in the Dutch dance scène such as: Hardwell, Chuckie, Arojack, Erick E, Benny Rodrigues, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Lil Jon, The Partysquad, Dj Dyna, Genairo Nvilla, Michael Mendoza, Lucien Foort, Gregor Salto, Sidney Samson, D Rashid, Michael Mendoza, The Flexican, Don Diablo, Mc Gee, Zawdi MC, Mc Knowlegdje, Mc Dimitri Nikita, Mc D-Jay and many more!

Recently Andy has started to work on producing also. There are some hot tracks on schedule, and 3 tracks already been signed.

In the month march of the year 2010 Andy Safado moved to Suriname. He rocked the music scene in Suriname immediately. He started sharing his talents @ Shakers, Lustig Events (Four Play, Lustig Festival and Sunglam), Havana Lounge, Lounge One, Touche, Zsa Zsa Zsu, Margaritas, La Caff, Dream Café, Fat S bar, Unker Bunker, Asia De Su, 22Yards, The Cave, Marajo, Club Diamond, Club Euphoria, Ace and more.
It took him about a year to become one of Surinames best.

He released productions like Bang the Drum (hit number 2 of the top 40 list of RP the hot one) and the Andy Safado remix of Use somebody (number 10 on the year top 100 of RP the hot one).

In the year 2011 he became a Green Artist and rocked together on our Green Entertainment party's with big names in the game like: Genairo NVilla, Michael Mendoza, Groovenatics and Miss DJ QT, Brian Chundro & Santos, Stefan Vilijn, Marc Macrowland, Kid Q, Mc Ice man, Mc Dimitri Nikita, Waxfiend, Superior, Flava, Dj Outkast, Dj Jah, Dj Biggie and many more!!

Now a days Andy Safado is one of the few deejays of Suriname, that is playing outside of Suriname!!
