Biografie
Smartek is a techno DJ who started dj-ing back in 2000 on turntables. After playing in different Clubs (e.g. Fusion Münster, Butan Wuppertal, Doornroosje Nijmegen) and Events (Ruhr in Love, Techno Humanity) he had to give up this hobby to fit the demands of a full-time job and further education at the same time. Now he has finished his further education and is back to the dj booth.
Smartek showed first talents in music at the age of 6, when he began to play drums. Until his youth, he liked heavy metal and rock. In the late 90s he visited techno clubs fort he first time (Tor 3 Düsseldorf, Doornroosje Nijmegen) and got infected by the "techno-virus' after seeing artists like Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin. He decided to buy turntables and began to train his skills on these "instruments'. Until 2006 he liked to play hard techno. Since then his sets are introduced with minimal tracks and develop to pounding techno.
