Biografie
Such claims represent a tribute to Luca Antolini's extraordinary career: he has been involved both in and behind the scenes for the past 25 years, boasting countless hits under his belt. A true lover of trance music, Luca Antolini has ventured successfully in other styles, under various aliases such as Dyor and The Navigator.
His reputation as well as his own unique style are well-established within the dance scene and extend worldwide, with the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Marco V, Lisa Lashes, BK, Organ Donors, Nick the Kid, to name but a few, often dropping his tracks during their sets and regularly seeking the "Luca Antolini" brand of remixes. He also features in numerous radio shows, both offline, with Kutski recently playing Luca's tracks on his sets on the BBC Radio 1 guest mix as well as online, on various programmes across the globe such as Di.fm, M2o, Gearbox and Hardculture (the last one being Luca's own monthly radio show and podcast).
Frequently packing his suitcase to play at prestigious clubs and festivals all over the globe such as Riot! 🇬🇧, Hard Candy & Masif (Australia); Eden, Amnesia, Space (Ibiza); Qbase, Defqon and Decibel (Germany and the Netherlands) and also at events in France, Russia, Scotland, and so on, Luca can also be found regularly behind decks at different clubs and events in Italy, namely Cellophane, Kamasutra, Party, Stargate, E-Mission, Dorian Gray, Kinki, Orbital, Cocoricò and many more.
His latest productions also reflect Luca's international reach: in the past few years he has mixed the Riot! in Ibiza compilations alongside the iconic Scott Attrill and in 2011 he remixed various Masif compilations with Australian legend Steve Hill, as well as featuring as the Italian guest mixer on Phil York's International Hard Dance Showcase compilation series.
Back home, he has worked in the past with Italian brand names such as Technoboy ,Tuneboy and Ricky T and more recently he teamed up with home-grown talents such as Andrea Montorsi, with whom he recently produced well-received tracks the likes of "Wrong" and " Are am eye".
His first release dates back to 1994 on Dèsastre Records: from then on, Luca has regularly published on a diverse collective of labels including Titanic, Tunnel Records, Armada, High Contrast, Masif, Tranzlation, and the all-important Red Alert label, which lead him to chart success through such hits as 'Heat' & 'Secret Dream'. Through one of his own labels, United Styles, Luca has released numerous hard-trance style tracks. He now produces a more progressive kind of dance music through his other label, Hard Progress, often in partnership with well-renowned DJs and upcoming producers, such as Matteo Sala.
Luca's natural kindness towards his fan-base and fellow DJs alike is what makes him stand out: whether playing a set to a packed crowd or creating a track in the studio, his genuine love and appreciation for all things dance music truly shines through. His enthusiasm for trance/electronic music is the same as when he started, just as his natural inclination towards experimentation and genre-crossing, a feature that has made the Luca Antolini brand so unique and instantly recognizable.
It is with this intent that Luca has marked 2012 as the year to embark on a new challenge: never one to lay back and enjoy his success, he has been very busy in the studio creating new tracks that feature a more mature and progressive/electronic sound, yet maintaining that "Luca Antolini" edge that so many have come to love and appreciate over the years.
