Bor

DJ Bor (Rob Cornelissen) is simply known as one of the least nuanced artists from the divers constellation of Zodiak Commune when it comes to his own hard-mouthed choice of music.

In the mid-90s he made his first appearance during a KX after party at 2B, the squatted linen factory next to the Effenaar. Soon after that, he appeared as a resident DJ behind the turntables at Zodiak Commune, where he did not only put the well-known Acid-bleeps under the needle, but also dared to handle the blunt Tekno ax like no other. Since 2004, he headed his own underground Tekno parties too under the name U-Niks, with which he has made locations like the Effenaar, Area51, TAC and Dynamo shake on their foundations with free party heroes of renown sound systems like Acid Anonymous, D-Struct, Mononom and Z-Bomb. In the latter location Bor was also one of the hosts of Orkapot, of which his Orkapot editions were fully in line with the rugged underground Tekno style of U-Niks. In addition, Bor remains a welcome Tekno and Acid DJ at the parties of Zodiak Commune and festivals like the Love Parade ('97), Earthdance Eindhoven, Orkapot Open Ear and STRP. Whether it is freaky Acid or raw Tekno, with Bor it always has a sharp serrated edge.
