British DJ and producer Waze, one half of the legendary duo Waze & Odyssey, returns to the soundsphere with his first solo track "Games" - an exhilarating house cut, primed for summer dance-floor motives, releasing May 7th on Street Tracks / Good Soldier.
Now over two decades deep in the dance game, Waze is nothing short of a cult electronic dance music superstar; from working his way up through the ranks at a young age to clocking numerous appearances at some of the most prestigious festivals and clubbing establishments in the world – from the elusive Panorama Bar, Berlin to Fabric to Glastonbury, the established producer has garnered regular top-tier tastemaker support from the likes of DJ Mag, Dazed, Crack Magazine, MTV, i-D, Red Bull and Mixmag, not forgetting his iconic Boiler Room performance.
With an undeniable reputation amongst the UK and international house scenes, Waze now surfaces with a formidable groove-ridden soundtrack built upon a plethora of smart percussive rhythms, effective piano keys and electrifying vocals from South London-based singer FABER. With the organic bass kicks and underlying synth samples providing a certified club-space filler, "Games" acts as a timely reminder of Waze's innate ability to make people move.
As part of Waze & Odyssey, the pair garnered a huge amount of success with a number of tracks going viral, being played by various heavyweights from Jamie Jones to Duke Dumont, placing in the Official UK Top 10 at #3 and racking up close to 120M streams in the process. Also recognised for his commitment to nurturing upcoming talent such as
breakthrough star Will Easton, Mella Dee, Ejeca, Tibasko and Lauren Flax, as well as quality music releases via his very own Street Tracks label, Waze continues to push the boundaries of contemporary house music and further cement his name as one of the most influential artists in the scene, as his new solo material seeks to mark 2021 as a milestone year.
