Krat

Krat started out as DJ at OJC Magnifiosi, a Youthcentre in Lisse, The
Netherlands. Het started DJing in 1991, and learned the tricks of the trade from Mark Kneppers and Edwin van het Schip, of later Wipneus & Pim and Kraak & smaak fame. He deejayed there up to 1999, spinning a mix of alternative, dance, wave, hiphop and indie. In the same period he also worked the summers as a DJ in the Club "WYB" on the Isle of Terschelling. He played the summers of 94 til 97 there. Also spinning alternative, indie and dance.

From 2000 to 2001 he played at club LVC on the friday knights partys there. Mostly playing dance, which ment a mix of Drum&bass, Breakbeats, House, Techno, Hiphop and big beats. Later on he added Futurepop, EBM and electroclash to this mix.

After this he specialized in playing the more dark styles of music. Ranging from EBM to neofolk, and harsch industrial to darkwave. Initially starting of with a thursday evening in Magnifiosi, he gradually got asked for more gothic parties, and DJed at ones like Shockfront, Cybergothic syndrome, Cyberia and Medusa He also played smaller parties like Rockz, and Insula Avalonia, and became a resident DJ at the Crna Ruza party at the Fabriek, Zaandam, and started his own branche of bigger Gothic parties at LVC, Leiden. During this time he also spinned 80's music at different lokations. He also DJed goth music at several fetish parties like Dominatrix, Sin and B.I.T.C.H.

Nowadays he is a resident of the Cyberia party in Tivoli de Helling in Utrecht, the Summer Darkness Festival and still does his Freitag parties at the LVC in Leiden. Sometimes Krat DJ's abroad. He DJed several times in Luxembourg and Germany, and also DJed the Wave Gotik Treffen twice.
