Gisus

Gisus always had a great interest in music. At an early age he exchanged his Playmobil for a switchboard, cd-player and a turntable with pitch buttons.
A few years later Gijs van de Voort aka Gisus started buying records in the Trance, Hardhouse en Techno genre. Furthermore, he regularly entered DJ contests (for instance Impulz Outdoor), played every now and then at parties and took a Masterclass by Lady Aïda.
In 2001 the party label Stereophonic was brought into life by Gisus and two of his friends. Under this label Gisus regularly played in Eindhoven clubs like: Effenaar, de Rechter, Club56elf/Insiders (together with dj Redhead), Dynamo. Outside Eindhoven Gisus played in cities like Amsterdam (club rain together with Gene Farris), Tilburg (013), Breda, (Club Rizult, Kerkplein) and various other cities in Holland. One of his highlights in this period was at the festival Frequence Outdoor, and not to forget Dancetour, together with world-renowned djs like Armin van Buuren!

Gisus has done some releases on different labels, but because he don't want to be independent, in 2013 he started his own music label 'Houzework Music".
In 2015 Gisus started a new party label with some friends called "Schmutzig Events". Schmutzig Events brings you the best and finest Techno music and this is the only genre Gisus will play and produce those days. So Techno it is and always will be!
