Biografie
Alan Cormode, AKA Kinrade, is from the rainy north of England and lives in the thriving musical city of Manchester. He is a self-taught DJ and producer that works from his purpose built studio in his converted garage.
After starting out, playing records in the early 90's, it wasn't until 2009 when Kinrade upped his game and won iDJ magazine's "double whammy". Winning the publications 'Raw Talent' for both DJ mix & production in consecutive months.
For many "artists" these days, production is used as a tool to spread their name and bag themselves DJ gigs. However due to a hectic work schedule outside of music Kinrade's production is the heart of his musical output and by making a conscious decision to follow the studio path, it has enabled him to slowly hone his sound to the raw techno we have seen on recent releases.
His first release being the "Grave Robber EP", in 2010, hit the stores courtesy of Berlin based 'Bad Label Lahorn', followed soon after in the first half of 2011 by, "Watch Yourself" which was signed by Bigger Deer Recordings, featuring remixes from The Pushamann and label boss, Lewis Ryder. Receiving positive feedback from industry heads, it even had Pete Gooding charting the original in his Global top ten for June. This set up a run of releases on the label gaining support from Slam, Reset Robot and Nick Warren, establishing himself amongst other artists releasing on the Deer imprint including Funk D'Void, Paul Loraine and Nathan Coles.
Kinrade isn't afraid to test the waters with various avenues of sound. Creating in between genres with the same influences as ever. This kind of thinking brought about the very diverse 'Sexy When Washed EP' which was released on the Philadelphia based label Rad Summer.
Further releases on Bigger Deer and Gain Records saw Kinrade cement his style of deep Techno which led him to the Portuguese label Underdub Records where he has had a series of strong releases as well as very aggressive remix of the track "Confused" by the artist Ket Robinson.
In recent years his deeper techno sound and distinctive percussion can really be seen on his offerings from Society Music Recordings that has culminated with Kinrade's latest and biggest release to date the Gator EP dropping on the highly respected Bubblejam Records. The EP gained plenty of high profile support with Drumcode's Boxia charting the title track in his 2018 Sonar Beatport chart.
With numerous projects on the go, remix's dropping on Bubblejam and some diverse collaborations taking shape 2018 into 2019 looks set to be an interesting time.
