Biografie
Portuguese DJ & Producer Pedro Caldeira, mostly known by his stage name Pete K was born in Lisbon in 1993. He began producing electronic music back in 2010 at the young age of 17 and has since then has been breaking through with his music and gained attention and support from some of the biggest names in the world.
Shaped by the influence of sounds created by celebrated artists like Eric Prydz, Guy J, Jeremy Olander, John Digweed, 16 Bit Lolitas and Sasha, Pedro's musical taste and style tends towards Progressive House, but also dives into underground tendencies from the likes of Deep-House, Tech-House and Techno. With this he's been able to hit upon a formula that crosses genre boundaries with ease making him more prone to be in touch with a wider range of sounds & styles that blend well to create a new and electrifying sound structures.
Pete K started to gain international recognition in 2011 when he was invited to remix a track by Rony and Rachele Dione named 'Colour of Love', which was released on the German label Sorry Shoes Records. The remix was supported by an elite roster including Miss Nine, Thomas Penton and David Vendetta. The support he garnered from these names cemented his talent through the industry, the release itself brought a fresh breath of air with it's hard hitting vibrancy, tangible emotion & sound quality.
In 2014, with the release of the Sonny Zamolo's 'Lion' Remix on Nueva Digital, Pete K's remix proudly gained the support of Armin van Buuren, who is considered to be one of the most iconic and influential DJs in the world. Armin played his remix live on Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Jakarta and decided to release Pete K's remix in a compilation on his own label, Armada Music.
Since then he's been constantly improving his production skills and releasing new music on Record Labels such as Zerothree, Proton Music, Intricate Records and Universal Music 🇵🇹. Remixed tracks from artists such as Alexey Sonar, Navid Mehr, Sebastian Weikum, Digital Militia, Idham and Morttagua and collaborated with Club Banditz, Domestic Science and Sonny Zamolo.
His productions and remixes have earned the respect and support of several major artists like Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Marcus Schossow, Jaytech, Gareth Emery, Thomas Gold, Danny Howard, Paul Oakenfold, John Askew, Roger Shah, Omnia, Cosmic Gate, Grum and Third Party as well as several appearances on compilations like the Legendary 'Trance Nation' compilation, mixed by Simon Patterson back in 2015.
This up and coming producer is also cementing his DJ career, having already shared the stage with names like Club Banditz, Digital Militia and Standerwick and will very soon be performing at Third Party's Release Records Tour at clubs like the legendary Ministry Of Sound Club in London and Opium Club Toulouse in France.
The future looks bright for Pedro as he continues to craft his very own sound and expect nothing less from his live performances as Pete K keeps growing and enhancing his musical talents notoriously and judging from his collection of releases, it is complete perfection just waiting to happen!
