Biografie
Dj Fra is one of the heads at the most important club in Spain and one of the most revered in Europe; Nitsa Club ( Barcelona). He`s one of its veterean resident djs and also considered a walking encycolpedia as it is proved in his Dj sets. Fra Soler is also known as Frenec, his name as producer for the trend-setting German label runned by Michael Mayer, Wolfgang Voigt and Jurgen Paape; KOMPAKT, essential to understand European electronic scene. Back in Kompakt`s catalogue you can find several 12" by Frenec and a LP titled 'Fraximal", produced with Maxi Ruiz. You can find Frenec tracks among the artists in Kompakt TOTAL compilations too, produced and influenced by house, acid, trance or classic techno music.
Fra has shared sessions with the most important djs and producers; Andrew Weatherall, Aphex Twin, Todd Terry, Carl Craig, are some examples out of a very long list full of well known figures from contemporary to time honored electronics.
He has dj-ed in clubs all over the World; Rex (Paris), Panorama (Berlin), Studio 672 (Cologne-Germany), Fabric (London), Orange Club (Delhi), Zoobizarre (Montreal) are some examples. He`s also been part of the line up in festivals like Sònar (Barcelona), Atp (England), FIB (Benicassim-Spain) or Primavera Sound (Barcelona), where he was playing at Boiler Room`s stage in 2013. This session had excellent reviews and was one of the latest recorded sessions from the Catalonian artist. Recently he just played another Boiler Room, where he was introduced as: ' Local hero DJ Fra showing why he's still a Barcelona favourite ', and where you can listen to his latest dancefloor tracks.
