Biografie
Massimo Conecto born (Belgium,1966) as Dirk Stommels, artist/DJ since 1999, described as 'ambitious" tireless passionate music lover in several styles.
Dirk's grandfather -- who had the honour of playing along the side of Toots Thielemans -- was a jazz musician for 50 years and learned him on a very young age discovering the world of jazz… from there on he started following the mainstream in the world of music & his passion for music was born!
He grew up with rock, disco, funk & new wave, which still has an influence in his choice/style of music.
From the mid-eighties on, he has been busy following the evolution of music, always searching for new or unknown sounds. A new musical style grows out of the New Wave called New Beat and later on Acid follows. Eventually House music saw the daylight… never died and never will…
As time passed and Dirk's DJ skills grew, he started to play at private parties and events such as the after party from Cirque Du Soleil – Karma lodge in Cape Town & one of the best house clubs of Belgium Café d'Anvers. With all his musical experience in life, he knows how to please the audience.
After playing mostly private all those years Dirk aims to be a professional DJ in the scene. Gearing up with Traktor and getting ready for productions, are the things that keep Massimo Conecto busy these days!
Massimo Conecto's identity is based on connecting the right people on the right place... music is a feeling, a feeling rooted in emotion and emotion being the very basis of humanity!
