The Valley of Fear
During the past century more than 50 ships and 20 aircraft sailed into oblivion in the area known as The Green Star Triangle….or as the locals say ‘The Valley of Fear..’
The Green Star Triangle is a mysterious area in the Northern Part of Holland. No one keeps statistics, but in the last century, numerous ships and planes have simply vanished without a trace within this area.
Exactly what happened to the ships and aircraft is not known. Most just disappeared from the radar.. Few distress calls and occasionally little debris signaled their disappearance.
Whatever the size or shape, there supposedly is some inexplicable force within it that causes ships and planes to vanish.
On a sunny day nearly 50 years ago, 13 Navy planes took off from their base in Leeuwarden on a routine training mission, known as Flight Zero. Neither the planes nor the crew were ever seen again.
The legend of the Green Star Triangle will be forever tied to the fateful flight that took place on September 5th, 1959 A massive land and sea search was mounted, but neither bodies nor wreckage were ever found.
On September the 5th 2009 the legend celebrates it’s 50th birthday. Finally we will encounter what lies beneath the waters of The Valley of Fear and the force will reveal it’s true identity.
This legend will never die…...The supernatural will xplode again.......
