The first release for a new project pairing 21 year old Emiele Coolen with established Dutch producer/DJ Marco Joosten. It comes with a 'one for the brave' tag offering minimal fuss in the way of structure but the heavy industrial feeling stabs make this worth a listen. Head for the Extended mix if you dare. Always a label with their finger on the pulse of all things good, High Contrast serve up an intriguing offering from Dutchman Marco Joosten. Pigeon-holing ‘Maniac’ is impossible as it’s a complex beast that’s got shades of electro and tech trance in a stomping yet floor friendly arrangement, and there’s even a hint of ‘Tainted Love’ in the rasping electro riffs that give the track a welcoming feel and dancefloor appeal.
