KONTAKT is the alter ego of Marc Andrews (uk,swiss) and Sascha Oberrecht (d) who were born and raised in Gemany; Marc in Kleve and Sascha in Frankfurt, but are now located in Utrecht and Nijmegen.
As youngsters they played different instruments and absorbed influences from all the worlds´ music. But having heard electronic dance music there was no turning back. They were avid observers of the 90s breakbeat scene and began to spin around in 1998, resulting in many stage expierences and multiple performances all over the Netherlands, Belgium and Gemany; also running their own parties with some other Djs (Deflux, Bass; in doornroosje) in the east of the netherlands (nijmegen).
But gradually turned to a mix of minimal, electro and techno, specialized in the popular "Cologne Sound" with influences from Berlin and Detriot in 2003/2004. In the last months of 2005 they started performing as a dj team which brought them to different partys and clubnights in the Netherland and Gemany.
KONTAKT makes music that flows and evolves into a definitive athmosphere; the main genres being haunting minimal, thumping electro with an accent on the bassline.
