Mental Symbiot

Mental Symbiot exists of two friends; Roel and Pieter, who are both living near Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Together they’re producing music for over 12 years now. It all started out with the software program “Fast tracker2” on an ‘antique’ PC. Since they were mental for hardcore, which was huge in those days, they started out producing it themselves. But soon other music styles like Drum ’n Bass, Ambient, Lounge and Techno had their influence on Mental Symbiot’s sound.

However, they wanted and needed more. Held back by the PC, they were forced to obtain hardware like Synths, Samplers and Drum-computers.



Then after a while they discovered the sounds of Industrial Techno and a whole new world opened up for them. Deep distorted Bass-Drums and eerie tunes came together in Mental Symbiot’s live-set. But that also didn’t still their hunger for music. Eventually they wanted to play a more varied set, for their crowd, but for themselves as well. A fine balance between different styles was found and the influences of artists like The Prodigy, Underworld, Aphex Twin and Chemical Brothers are recognizable. Loud Bass-Drums, Breakbeats and melodies become one in their energetic live-set, and gets darker and more aggressive during the show. With each performance, Mental Symbiot has proven to astonish the crowd with their unique sound.
