Als je bang bent voor iemand, dan komt dat doordat je je aan diegene ondergeschikt hebt gemaakt.

Wie hoger stijgt en voor grotere taken komt te staan wordt niet vrijer, zij krijgt slechts meer verantwoordelijkheid.

Elke hoog opgevoerde individualiteit richt zich tegen het Ik en neigt weer naar haar eigen vernietiging.

Geld en macht zijn uitvindingen van het wantrouwen.

Niemand kan bij een ander waarnemen en begrijpen wat zij niet zelf heeft beleefd.

Niemand droomt over dingen waarmee zij niets te maken heeft.

Kunst is de wereld bekijken vanuit een toestand van genade.

Ieder mens, voor zover zij inderdaad een persoonlijkheid is en een eigen karakter heeft, heeft ook haar eigen lot, dat voor haar is bestemd en waarmee zij geboren wordt. En dikwijls lijkt het alsof zij dit lot zelf en met opzet kiest, zo overtuigt leeft zij overeenkomstig met haar bestemming.
