Yes.

Because internet is a non-direct way of communicating. If you say something, you can't censor yourself while saying it, because once you for example said a swear, it's impossible to take it back.

This is completely different from a forum. Having typed something still means you can change it around, before sending the message out to be posted.

Also, firing up discussions online has nothing to do with being a poser and showing off your De Puta Madre 69 vest and anabolic steroids-composure at a hardstyle party, while wearing your sunglasses in the dark.
