A few people have asked me why I sometimes play early hardcore ...
1. It is OK to like other styles ! Just because we all love terror and speedcore, it doesn't mean we are soft because we like slower music !
2. I have been going to party's since 1990 and buying records since 1986. I started buying hip hop, then warehouse/acid music in 1988, which turned into techno, then into European techno (German, Belgium, Dutch), which then progressed into early hardcore (or gabba as we called it in the UK).
I started DJ'ing in 1991 so I have played all those early trax at the time they were new and I have a massive record collection, so I also have a lot of knowledge about records and the party's from 1990 to the present day.
I still love to play oldskool/early hardcore sets and play a lot of those sets in the UK, particularly in my hometown of Newcastle.
I hope that has answered a lot of people's questions !
But don't worry, terror is still my first love !
