Richard Hessels also known as DJ Riches or the liveact Aerophobia got influenced by electronic music in the late 70's early 80's. When he was still only 19 he became a proffesional graphic artist. From this he came in contact with the pioneering house & technoraves in the early nineties. Producing artwork & designing flyers for many of the biggest raves and events.

In 1995 Riches founded the project Aerophobia with a good friend. About a year later they had their first techno/trance liveset finished. Not long after that the colaboration ended but the project still continued.

In the same period Riches started to play more and more as downbeat/chillout dj. The years that followed he played at many national events, from high profile till deep underground. He played primtime at various big international festivals like, Voov Experience, 12x Universo Paralello, Waltfrieden, Dancevalley & Mysteryland, Groundzero. Aswell as multiple times at poptempels as Melkweg & Paradiso.
