·In 2019 Dorentina made her first musical debut and now, within two years, she has more than 300.000 streams per month on Spotify. Dorentina's song '500 Ps', with over 10 million views, is written in Dutch, English and German, and her knowledge about languages and cultures doesn't stop there.
Discovering different cultures is something Dorentina grew up with by living in multiple different places. Skills she learned along the way are quick thinking, problem solving and adapting to her surroundings. Living in multiple places also means getting to know different cultures and people. Dorentina finds fun in discovering the differences and similarities between cultures. Regarding music, each country has its own sound. She likes to mix these sounds and create something new. When recording a new song, she tries to make both Germany as well as the Netherlands proud. "If I sing in German I want to put Dutch melodies in it." There is no preference when asked which music style she likes best. She enjoys it all.
"Home is where the people I love are."
When finishing a song, the first people to listen to it are Dorentina's family. She asks for feedback on different projects she's working on. It is no surprise that family is her top priority. She tries to visit her loved ones in Germany every weekend. There is always time for family, and it is important to always be there for them. Although Dorentina grew up in Germany, she hasn't forgotten her Albanian roots. "I am proud of my background", she states when asked about it. Dorentina comes from a family where the Albanian culture plays a major role in their lives. Tradition is of the utmost importance to her and her family.
"You should always be proud of yourself, no matter what."
Dorentina is most proud of Kosso: "In the last three years he has beautifully developed himself professionally and personally. I support him through thick and thin." However, she interjects, she is also proud of herself. According to Dorentina you should always be proud of yourself in life, even if you have been through a rough period. Be proud that you are still standing!
Besides working on her music carreer, she also focus' on her university study. She values to have a grade besides her music carreer
