Anthem Dance Nature 2015 gelanceerd

Mr. Belt & Wezol vs Freejak can't do without 'Somebody To Love'

Mr. Belt & Wezol & Freejak taking classic 60s tune to club grounds Can't do without 'Somebody To Love' Mr. Belt & Wezol are surely on fire this year. Kicking things off with their late 2014 release 'Time', followed by the huge club hit 'Finally' (which made it to Beatport's #2 spot for quite a while), the Dutch duo now returns for another blast from the past with a rework of 60s classic 'Somebody To Love'.

They definitely know their classics. Mr. Belt & Wezol even started their triumphal march with a remix of Wildchild's 90s club tune 'Renegade Master', which got picked up by house music tastemaker Oliver Heldens. A collab followed, resulting in last year's Spinnin' release 'Pikachu', peaking at about 1.5 million YouTube views, followed by the highly popular vocal house record 'Time', released on Spinnin' Deep at the verge of 2015.

Hailed as precursors of a fresh wave in house music, Mr. Belt & Wezol continued their streak of gold with brand new single 'Finally', released last april on Spinnin' Deep, a stunning tribute to the 90s CeCe Peniston dance classic, leaving the vocal lines intact, while the duo added its trademark bass lines and groove.

'Finally' spent over a month in the Top 10 of Beatport's main chart, while it resided on the House Chart #1 spot for 24 days! Not surprisingly, the DJ support was immense; renowned house heads like Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, EDX, Watermät and Mike Mago playing it to bits everywhere.

'Somebody To Love'
And now, the boys are back in town. Working with upcoming UK producer Freejak, they've created another blast from the past, this time revisiting the 60s classic 'Somebody To Love' by Jefferson Airplane. With the lyrics kept intact, the rest of the track has gotten a life of its own, moving straight into club territory, working the floor like a Madman. It's already creating a stir on the Ibiza clubs as well as festivals all over the world, gaining support from DJs like Oliver Heldens, Avicii and The Magician as well as radio plays from guys like Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero.

Looking at earlier successes, 'Somebody To Love' seems destined for endless summer fame, a 60s tune reborn in an extraordinary 2015 dance classic.

Martin Garrix releases long awaited collaboration 'Dragon' with friends Mattise & Sadko

Martin Garrix, electronic dance music's youngest and fastest rising superstar has officially released his highly anticipated collaboration 'Dragon' with friends and talented DJ/Producer duo Matisse & Sadko.

After spending time with Matisse & Sadko in 2014, Martin became close friends with them and when they realized their Synergy was so great, they decided to work in the studio together. These studio sessions resulted in two incredible records to be released one week after another on Beatport and on YouTube as a two part music video, starting with the release of 'Dragon' today. With 'Dragon', the three youngsters deliver a progressive masterpiece that breaths fire with amazing string sections, infectious melodic chords and monumental synth stacks. Ever since 'Animals', Garrix has been reinventing himself and dropped hit after hit, all supported by the biggest names in the industry and now it's 'Dragon' that has been tipped to become one of the bigger main stage tracks over the summer festival season.

I have been using 'Dragon' as the main opening track at my live shows for almost a year now, it is definitely one of my favorite tracks to play and I'm so happy to finally release it now together with my buddies Matisse & Sadko. Martin says.

Both music videos were directed by buzz worthy Los Angeles based director Laban. Told in two parts, the videos tell the cyclical story of heartbreak, revenge, and the consequences that follow.

'It's a story about a badass breakdancing roller girl who goes on a bender after catching her boyfriend cheating which leads to violent outbursts, law breaking and partying with some The Cool Kids.' says Laban.

'This video ends with a cliffhanger and I'm happy to say the story will continue in the official video for Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko's next release 'Break Through The Silence' (July 13th)... I wanted there to be consequences to the main characters actions, not just glorifying bad behavior. So when we get to 'Break Through The Silence,' which continues the adventures and misadventures of our flawed protagonist. We shot these videos, which are basically one short film, in two jammed packed nights and had a lot of fun making 'em.'

Be on the look out for 'Break Through The Silence,' and Part Two of this epic story on July 13th.

Oliver Heldens launches Heldeep Records, reveals himself as mystery producer HI-LO

Oliver Heldens launches Heldeep Records, and reveals himself as the mystery producer behind the bass house virtuoso, HI-LO, who had a debut release, 'Crank It Up,' on Mad Decent. Over the course of his exponential rise to international prominence, this gifted Dutch producer/DJ has adhered to an ethos of genuine artistry, and devotion to his craft. It's undeniable that Oliver Heldens has earned his place alongside the world's most revered artists, using his studio ingenuity and impeccable DJ abilities as the driving force behind his success. Now he is giving back to the music community through his new Heldeep Records label, while also developing his new artistic endeavor, HI-LO, who happens to have the first release on the label.

Oliver says: 'I've been doing Heldeep Radio over a year now with succes and through that I've found a lot of new talents. With this new Heldeep label I can give them a bigger platform. It also gives me the opportunity to release more of my own stuff especially with the new HI-LO alias.'

Previously named as an 'Artist to Watch' by Rolling Stone, and a '2015 Hit Maker' by Shazam, Heldens is surely outdoing expectations this year, as he adds Heldeep Records to his world-class resumé. What started as his weekly Heldeep Radio Show, his platform for new talent, has evolved into a full-fledged label that is now home for his own releases, as well as his favorite artists. Additionally, Heldens aims to utilize the label to play a pivotal role in helping cultivate the careers of budding producers, such as Curbi.

To kick off Heldeep Records, Oliver offers HI-LO's new single, 'Renegade Mastah', for a proper first release. Using the unforgettable vocal from Wildchild's 'Renegade Master,' HI-LO defies genres, moving between old school breakbeat rhythms, and high-energy, tech-house-like grooves with industrial accents, and heavy Low-End punches throughout. 'Renegade Mastah' is a track unlike any other, and thus, it is the perfect release to lay the foundation for more inventive music to come on Heldeep Records.

Oliver says about Hi-Lo: 'With this new alias I want to show another side of me. The music which I make under HI-LO is more bassline driven and more 'underground'. It gives more musical freedom.'
