Oke fack it.
It’s the middle of February already and high time for another newsletter. In the next few days, the Bingo will raffle off the remaining tickets and, for the most part, bring an end to the race for tickets for this summer’s festival.
However, our mood is significantly dampened by the fact that we already know that this Bingo will result in only a few more winners and tens of thousands of losers; and that by the time you read this newsletter, many will have just been informed of their bad luck again this time round. This situation affects us as well: the reason we put on this festival is to make all Fusionists as happy as possible and, this year, about 50% of them will be extremely unhappy – their lack of a ticket leaving them unable to come.
In light of this huge increase in the number of people who lost out, we need to rethink a few things and also make good on our offer that everyone, who really wants to come, can get a ticket through cooperation with our Arbeitsamt (job centre). Six hours Subbotnik, then party. Even this option is limited, though, and anyone still without luck after approaching the Arbeitsamt will be forced to sit out the 2013 festival. The last option would then by the Sunday Ticket – anyone who arrives on Sunday morning from 6am onwards, can still join the party, albeit it a little late.
The reason why there have been so few Bingo winners in 2013 compared to 2012 is that this year a far greater number of first-ballot winners paid for their ticket on time. In 2012, we actually had almost 25% of tickets that were unpaid. This was down to faults in the registration process where many people registered more than once, but ended up only paying for one ticket. Based on last year’s experience, we raffled off 7000 more tickets – something which later proved to be a strategic error. This increased amount of tickets meant that we had to be very strict about our payment deadline of January 14 to avoid awarding all tickets raffled off in the Bingo to those who had paid late first time round. The deadline when the payments had to be transferred or, rather, had to hit our account, however, was not expressed in the clearest of terms and led to some confusion. The automatic refunds for payments that arrived later than January 15 came as a shock to some who, according to their own understanding, had paid on time. We solved for this by ensuring that everyone who wrote to us and could prove that they had made the payment on or before January 14, would still awarded a ticket.
So that the Bingo still has something to offer, we’ve now decided to increase the total amount of festival tickets by 2,000 to 60,000 in total – we think this offers the best solution for the situation we’re in.
At the beginning of May, all winners of the Bingo will receive a pdf. document from us by email. This pdf. is personalised with a barcode and can be used in conjunction with a valid form of ID (passport or driving license) at the embassy (“Botschaft”) at the entrance to the festival to pay for a ticket in cash.
The right to purchase a ticket after the Bingo cannot be transferred to third party. Although it was originally planned, there will now be no possibility to transfer tickets to another person as the amount of admin involved would be completely out of proportion with the manageable number of winners and the time to arrange the postage and packaging, to change addresses, etc. would hugely disrupt our schedule.
Cancellations
Anyone who, in the coming weeks and for whatever reason, wants to cancel their ticket, must comply with the following procedure, taken from our T&C:
3.3 Ticket holders can cancel and return their ticket to the organisers anytime as long as it is received by 22 June 2013.
Tickets must be cancelled online using the personalised online ticket account and the ticket itself must be returned to Kulturkosmos by registered mail. Postal charges are to be covered by the ticket holder. The price of the ticket will then be refunded.
Those who cancel their tickets and return them by 10 June 2013 can nominate a third party who they would like their ticket to be offered to instead. It is the decision of the organisers whether or not to accept this request and offer the nominated person the chance to buy a ticket. This decision is final and not subject to legal appeal.
Should Kulturkosmos wish to comply with this request, the nominated person will be informed that they will receive a pdf. offer from Kulturkosmos by email on 20 June. This pdf. should be brought to the embassy (“Botschaft”) at the festival entrance with a valid form of ID (passport or driving license) where a ticket can be purchased for €70 plus €10 rubbish deposit.
That’s it for now regarding our – or rather your – ticket concerns.

Ik zoek 1, 2, 3 of meer kaartjes. Als iemand 1, 2, 3 of meer kaartjes kwijt wil, stuur me een PB of mail me remcoalbers@gmail.com of bel me 0628996791 .

Zeker weten!
