With his AFRO ACID movement, DJ Pierre is storytelling through dance music. Tearing down boundaries, Pierre is taking a stand for the movement and values that came with the evolution of electronic dance music. "If we refuse to include the past in our present, we risk loosing ourselves, and destroying our future. It’s about the many of us who together proved that if we can dance together, we can live together.
Our Amsterdam Night Mayor / Nachtburgemeester Amsterdam (Shamiro Van Der Geld) and DJ Pierre will be discussing the importance of knowing the roots of nightlife and club culture, and the struggles it took for us to be able to have this amazing scene and music that we now celebrate.
