PLANET MU
Planet Mu was started in 1995 as an imprint on Virgin Records on which to release µ-Ziq and other, similar artists.
When it turned out that Virgin didn't do well in marketing this kind of music, Mike Paradinas set up the label independently in 1998. This is where the ZIQ... catalog numbers start.

LUKE VIBERT
Luke Vibert is one of a new breed of European club music experimentalists whose work spans several genres simultaneously. Vibert's work has been compared with Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq, although his output over the past few years has been far more eclectic.

VEX'D
Influenced by grime and dubstep as well as the electronic underground scene, Vex'd have a truly unique sound. Distorted, repetitive waves of bass have more in common with early Aphex classics or drum'n'bass by Matrix or Optical than the rest of the dubstep scene.

BOXCUTTER
Guitarist and producer Barry Lynn (aka Boxcutter) became the talk of the dubstep scene in 2005 with the release of his astounding "Brood/Sunshine" single on London's taste-making dance label, Hot Flush. The Boxcutter sound is cosmic dubstep with guitar, flutes and twisting breaks. The melodies and production evoke prime mid-’90s electronica, but the bass attack is purely up to date.

DJ DISTANCE
DJ Distance's musical path is atypical of many dubsteppers. He began as a metal fan before falling under the spell of UK garage. His early productions took breakstep into twisted, psychotropic realms. Two years ago, he switched his drum programming style and dubstep don DJ Hatcha took a strong interest. This is the context in which he issues his debut album, My Demons, yet the past leaves a strong impression on the present.
