In Den Haag is het Binnenhof volledig afgesloten door politie en Mobiele Eenheid 🇲🇪. De reden is vooralsnog onduidelijk.
Voor verdere informatie verwijst de politie Haaglanden naar de nationaal coördinator terrorismebestrijding (NCTb). Een woordvoerder daarvan kan geen echter geen nadere informatie geven: "Wat je ziet, is wat je ziet." De Lange Poten-ingang van het Tweede-Kamergebouw is afgesloten, bij de ingang aan het Plein staat eveneens ME. Passerende voertuigen worden ter controle aangehouden door de politie.
Er zouden vandaag geen bijzondere bijeenkomsten of hoge buitenlandse gasten op het Binnenhof of in het gebouw van de Tweede Kamer zijn. Wel vergadert, zoals elke vrijdag, de ministerraad in de Trêves-zaal. Deze vergadering gaat vooralsnog gewoon door. Kamerleden zijn er nauwelijks, aangezien de Eerste en Tweede Kamer niet vergaderen op vrijdag. Later op de dag zou er meer duidelijkheid moeten komen.

Er is sprake van een "verhoogde dreiging" in Den Haag. Volgens BNR Nieuwsradio zijn er schoten gevallen bij meerdere acties, die plaatsvinden op onder andere de Moerweg en de Van Mierisstraat.

Radio 1 meldt dat er een school in de Schilderswijk is binnengevallen, deze school is niet ontruimd. De schietparij zou hebben plaatsgevonden op de Moerweg. Er zouden enkele arrestaties zijn verricht.

Het NOS Journaal meldt dat er zeven mensen zijn gearresteerd, waaronder één vrouw. Het zijn allen mensen uit de omgeving van terreurverdachte Samir A., die eerder dit jaar werd vrijgesproken wegens gebrek aan bewijs. Ook Samir A. zelf is aangehouden. Hij zou bezig zijn geweest met het voorbereiden van aanslagen op politici en probeerde voor dat doel wapens te bemachtigen.
De arrestaties zijn de afgelopen 24 uur verricht in Den Haag, Almere en Amsterdam. In Den Haag vielen aan de Moerweg gemaskerde mannen met mitrailleurs een flatgebouw binnen. Justitie heeft bovenstaande zaken inmiddels bevestigd.

But I think the main problem is the fact that there is a thing as "freedom of speech" here, and if you have seen the movies made by Theo van Gogh then you will see why they don't like Holland as much as some do.
