Dubhoven

Dubhoven is the flagship event of the collective efforts of Godzilla Soundsystem, House of Dread and Fada Jep. Followers of the raw sounds of roots and dub, whose roots are inseparably connected with Jamaica, will certainly not be disappointed. For the rest, it's an opportunity to take part in an unusual phenomenon, where the powerful bass shakes your guts all night, and the rhythm effectively replaces all stimulants.

Ashanti Selah – Musician / Dub Producer
Hailing from the UK, is the eldest son of the world-renowned sound-man, Aba Shanti-I. Starting the mystical journey for his keen interest of playing music came from his early days of being exposed to the sound system culture through his father and their musical
infrastructure; also being a regular attendee at his father’s location in the Notting Hill Carnival and also, traveling with the sound as a crew member to various sessions in the UK & to Europe. As well as working on his own productions – Ashanti makes use of his musical abilities as a performer in various bands as keyboardist and has had the pleasure of working and collaborating with a number of great singers, musicians & producers in the scene- such as; Vivian Jones, Mad Professor, Joe Ariwa, Ras Divarius, Alpha Steppa, Dan I Locks, Junior Roy (just to name a few).
Ashanti has had the opportunity to play at some
amazing events such as Rototom Sunsplash festival
in Spain, United Nations of Dub weekender in North Wales and the Zion Station festival in Italy. “Keeping the Roots & Culture fire burning bright, Ashanti Selah is set to play a crucial role in the future of conscious sound system music”

Junior Roy - Singer
Grown up in the Paris suburbs. At 6 years he wrote his first lyrics which he practiced at home or on sound system.
The first vinyl release was at age of 9 called “Wicked and Wild” then followed “Always”. Supported and guided by his mentor Colonel Maxwell, Junior Roy continues his musical journey. Many collaborations followed during the years including a full album with Ashanti Selah, called Urban Observations which came out in 2018. Combination not to be missed!
