Mystical Bamboo has always been passionate about music until he encountered his first deep love for reggae music as a teenager. No other style had ever intrigued him so intensively than roots rock reggae did. Fairly quickly he discovered the roots dub soundsystem culture. As the love for the scene grew, he started connecting people. Together with the guys from Uhuru Sound and good relatives, he founded the Youth Station sessions in Leuven. Over the years they invited many not-so-common-yet-highly-respected selectors and soundcrews from over Belgium, UK, France and Germany. Meanwhile, Mystical Bamboo self-instructed himself to the creation of dub music. One of his first productions ever became a collaboration with Mc BabbaJah. which has recently been released on the Italian label Dub-O-Matic records. Over the years, Mystical Bamboo could count on many guidance from his great heroes in the Beljam dub scene: Crucial Alphonso, Kingstep and Unlisted Fanatic...

♪ New Dublife session, new concept! We teamed up with our good friends from Tempest sound to keep pushing dub music all over. For this session tempest has invited Mystical Bamboo.

♪ Tempest Sound System
Tempest Soundsystem was founded in 2017 out of pure enthousiasm and love for soundsystem. In two years, they rebuilt the soundsystem a few times, looking for their own voice and a crisp clear sound. Hailing from Retie, Geel and Antwerp, they are mainly active in the Kempen area. They found good friends in the Dublife crew and recently teamed up with them to keep pushing dub music all over. Tempest always aims to push Belgian music and Belgian producers, so they’re happy to welcome Mystical Bamboo with his bass heavy productions. They will be joined by the lyrical talent of Hurukan Imperial Stepper, representing the Liège Dub Faction, a sound pioneer making their way in Liège.
