"Born as a solo speedcore act by Abhorrent in the mid 1990s, Acid Enema began mixing death metal (and later black metal) into his releases on prominent underground labels Hardline Rekordingz and Widerstand Records. Acid Enema moved further into black metal territory with the highly sought after split CD (and later vinyl via Avantgarde Music) with Xasthur in 2003 before going dormant. In 2014, with the addition of Noth Bloodstorm on guitars and bass, AE was reborn and continues to innovate in the mixture of speedcore and black metal with "Misanthropic Visions" released in late 2015."
